Seahawks Scrimmage Cut Short Due to Injury.

On Saturday in Seattle, Washington, the Seahawks held a scrimmage during their training. Unfortunately, it had to be hauled early because of an injury.

Defensive End Branden Jackson was knocked unconscious according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Coach Carrol’s Statement

“I didn’t catch the replay, but he hit heads, I think, with Cedric and it might have caught him in the chin with his helmet, and it was like a knockout punch is what it was,” Carroll said. “So we took all the precautions and took care of him. He had movement and all that kind of stuff, but we still needed to do the right thing and totally take care of him until we know more.”

The Injury

According to the film, Jackson’s helmet collided with offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi as both of them engaged at the scrimmage. Jackson then fell to the ground and stayed there for several minutes before the medical staff placed him on a backboard and took him to the hospital.

Jackson then regained consciousness and has feeling in his arms and legs, according to a source.

Who Is Branden Jackson?

Brandon Jackson was an undrafted free agent in 2016 out of Texas Tech University. Jackson was picked up by the then Oakland Raiders and played one season there. Then for the last 3 years, he has been with the Seattle Seahawks. In his four years in the NFL, he has 3.5 sacks and 42 tackles.
