Mitch Trubisky Is Our Quarterback

Like it or not, Mitch Trubisky is our quarterback. Mitch was just named the starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears. Trubisky will need to get off to a hot start to keep the fans and media on his side. Confidence will go a long way with Mitch, especially with Nick Foles lurking over his shoulder.

The margin of error will be razor thin to start the 2020 season. Hopefully he can tune out all the noise and finally live up to his potential that Ryan Pace saw in him back when they selected him number two overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Was it a “True” Competition?

Without seeing any preseason games, it’s almost impossible to truly know for sure who won the quarterback competition. We just have to trust the words of Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace, who have been known to hide the truth from the fans before. I feel like Mitch being named the starter was just about written in stone from the beginning. Why? Because Ryan Pace will never give up on him, and he shouldn’t–not yet anyway.

Mitch does have some good qualities, but he really needs to show that on the field– not just at practice. We will, however, find out soon enough. The Bears play their season opener September 13th against the Detroit Lions, and Mitch will have his chance to prove his doubters wrong once and for all.
