Brian Flores Interview

Brian Flores talks with Dolphins news reporter Travis Wingfield today. Flores says that Fitzpatrick will be the starter for the Dolphins in week two. Also, he mentions that his team will have to do better, as they are playing a similar team in the Bills.

Flores says the passing game was “solid, we had some room to step up, time to throw it. We’re going to need similar protection this week against a really good front in Buffalo. The young guys got off to a solid start but it’s about consistency in this league.” In the end, the offensive line looked decent in week one against the Patriots.

Flores talks about Parker’s injury stating that he is going through rehab and treatment currently. They will have an update on Wednesday on how his rehab is going.

Dolphins Tryout Center Tyler Gauthier

College Career

Tyler Gauthier is a former center for the Miami Hurricanes, in which he started 29 consecutive games. His awards in college were All-ACC Honorable Mentions in 2017.

New England Patriots

Gauthier was an undrafted free agent, which he was picked up by the Patriots in 2019. The team then waived him as the final roster cuts, but he was resigned to the practice squad on October 15, 2019.

Jacksonville Jaguars

On December 10, 2019, the Jaguars signed Gauthier off the Patriots practice squad. The Jaguars then waived him on August 8, 2020.

New England Patriots Again

Gauthier then signed with the Patriots again on August 12, 2020. The Patriots waived Gauthier again as the final cuts on September 5, 2020. Overall, this could be a solid pick-up for the Dolphins, if they pull the trigger and sign him.

The Miami Dolphins released quarterback, Jake Rudock, who was basically the emergency quarterback for the Dolphins. In exchange, they signed former Buccaneers practice squad quarterback Reid Sinnett.

College Career of Sinnett

Sinnett redshirted his true freshman season at San Diego University. For the next three seasons, Sinnett was the back-up for Anthony Lawrence who became the all-time passing leader in San Diego University football history. Sinnett played only his senior year where he had 3,528 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers signed Sinnett as an undrafted free agent on April 25, 2020. He was then signed to the practice squad, then waived on September 8, 2020.
