Dolphins: Injury Report and Flores Interview

Welcome to the Daily Miami Dolphins Notes, on September 17th, 2020. The topics are daily injury report and Brian Flores interview.

Injury Report

Some good and bad news today for the Dolphins team going into week two of the regular season. Today, DeVante Parker was practicing with the team for the second day in a row, so he looks as if he will be playing in the game this week. Hopefully, Parker does not reinjure his hamstring again this week, but he seems good to play.

Same as yesterday, Elandon Roberts is out with a concussion. We have not heard any more information on how long he will be out, but expect the normal two weeks at least. Kamu Grugier-Hill is looking to fill the middle linebackers position this week.

In today’s practice Byron Jones, Xavien Howard, and Clayton Fejedelem were all limited in practice. Jones played almost every snap against the Patriots last week, so he is expected to play again this week. Howard did not play as many snaps as was expected because of his injury from last season. Fejedelem did not play last week against the Patriots, so hopefully, we see the special teams captain on the field this week.

Brian Flores Interview

In today’s interview, Flores’s main topics were talking about safety communication and Tua Tagovailoa coming off the injury list. Flores mentions the importance of communication and relationship, especially when it comes to safeties. He says Eric Rowe and Bobby McCain have done a good job at that because it is important to them.

Then, Flores is asked about the condition of Tua. His response was “it was a serious injury. He’s done a great job getting himself back and healthy.” Flores also mentions how Tua has been doing everything everyone else has been doing, so he feels it’s appropriate to take him off the injury report list.
