Blade Stone vs Augie DeSantis
On September 19th, 2020, Sparta Sports and Entertainment will present Sparta Wyoming 3 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. One of the fights on the card will be a 205-pound kickboxing bout featuring Tyler “Blade” Stone vs Augie DeSantis. Let’s take a quick look at each fighter!
Blade Stone grew up in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and trains at Kompound Training Center under coach Morrison Butler. He has been training off and on since he was 20 years old but his training really kicked into high gear in the last year. At the beginning of January Blade weighed 280 pounds, but with the help of Morrison and his teammates, he is down to just 200 pounds.
This will be Blade’s debut kickboxing fight. However, after dropping 80 pounds in nine months, Blade is ready to step into the Sparta cage and show everyone he is here to stay. Will Blade be able to come away with the victory in his first kickboxing bout?
Augie DeSantis is from Escondido, California but moved to Colorado in 2013. He trains at Ultimate Performance with coaches James Casias and John Broadie. Augie also trains at the Childress Brazilian Jiu-JItsu Academy with coaches Josh Childress and Juan Martinez V. He started training off and on back in 2015 but didn’t get serious with it until the end of 2018.
Augie has a record of 1-0 in MMA but will be making his kickboxing debut. He last fought at the King of Sparta Flyweights event, winning by unanimous decision in his MMA debut. Can Augie improve to 2-0 and win his kickboxing debut?
