The UFC is back in the Apex Center for a final time for UFC Vegas 11! This is the final card for a while at the Apex Center as we are headed to Fight Island Next week!

Kevin Holland beats Darren Stewart after back and forth war

The main card of UFC Vegas 11 was stacked and both Kevin Holland and Darren Stewart knew they had to put on a show. Unsurprisingly, They did just that. From the get-go, both Holland and Stewart looked for a finish in a back and forth battle in just barely the first with both trading blow for blow with Stewart stunning Holland with a hard shot. The second round followed suit, another back and forth battle with Holland gaining the upper hand at the end of the second with a flurry of knees before the round ended. However, for Stewart, it wasn’t until the third round where he saw momentum sway in his favor as he managed to takedown Holland and land some good Ground and Pound. The judges scored the bout 29-28 x 2 28-29 in favor of Holland giving him his third straight win. Who’s next for the ‘Trailblazer’?

Mackenzie Dern Submits Randa Markos

Mackenzie Dern continues to show why she is a force to be reckoned with on the mat as this is her second consecutive submission win. At the beginning of the round, Markos came out looking to command the pace and Dern tried to keep up but slipped while throwing a kick in response and fell as a result. Markos then followed her to the mat, and Dern showed her high-level jiu-jitsu as she went to work. Eventually, Dern took top control. It was from top position where Dern broke down Markos and submitted her within the first. What’s next for Dern?

Wild fight sees Johnny Walker back in the Win Column

This fight lasted around 2 minutes and was still more exciting than the entirety of the main event bout. From the get-go, Spann looked to take control as he got a takedown, almost instantaneously and rained down heavy ground and pound. However, Walker soon scrambled free. Then, BAM They both thew punches that both landed and stunned both fighters with Spann recovering quicker as Walker hit the floor and Spann went on the offensive. However but Walker recovered and stuffed the takedown attempt from Spann as he rained elbows to get the TKO win. This win breaks Walker’s 2 loss streak and Spann’s 8 win streak. What’s next for Walker?

Khamzat Chimaev drops Gerald Meerschaert in 17 seconds

One punch. 17 seconds. That’s all Khamzat Chimaev needed to finish Gerald Meerschaert as he walked him down and knocked him out with one singular punch. This is Chimaev’s 9th straight win and Meerschaert’s 2nd straight loss.

Cowboy Cerrone and Niko Price get a draw due to Eyepokes

In the Co-Main event bout, we had Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone and Niko ‘The Hybrid” Price, and man did this bout start at a fast pace. Landing a barrage of different strikes within the first half of the first round stunning Cerrone in some cases. However, trouble was close for Price and Cerrone. Two eye pokes left Price with a point infraction and Cowboy with blurred vision. By the second round, Cerrone was back in the fight and ready to strike with a tired Price. But the third round saw an eye poke from both fighters with Cerrone almost getting on Price’s back to sink in a choke. The judges scored the bout a majority draw 29-27 (Cerrone), 28-28 x 2. What’s next for the fighters?

Colby Covington routs Tyron Woodley, wins on injury TKO

This fight was all Colby Covington from the get go. His cardio, wrestling and his striking as he was able to easily negate the offense of Tyron. Each round was a winning round for Covington as his Cardio, wrestling and his striking was too much. The finish came from a freak rib injury as Colby slipped out of a guillotine early in the fifth and final round. This is Woodley’s third straight loss. What’s next for the welterweights?
