The Arizona Diamondbacks played the final games of the 2020 season on Sunday, September 27th against the Rockies. The Dbacks have had quite a disappointing season losing more than half of the 60 game season. However, the Dbacks did not end the season without a fight.
Dbacks Dominated The Rockies
The series against Colorado started on Friday, September 25th with a doubleheader. The first game ended with a score of 0-4, while the second game ended at 5-11. Arizona could not pull a sweep against the Rockies losing 10-3 in the 3rd game. Arizona was determined to dominate the series.
The Final Game of 2020
This 4-game series ended on September 27th. Madison Bumgarner earned his first win all season. Kole Calhoun and Nick Ahmed dominated. Alongside Carsen Kelly with his 2-run double in the 7th and Ketel Marte’s 2-run single final score 11-3.
2020 Ending With Questions
How could how the Dbacks dominated towards the end of the season, but could not hold a slot to enter the playoffs this year. The Dbacks ended with a record of 25-35. 2020 was almost flashing back to 2016, and Arizona has a massive amount of work to do to make up for lost time.
