Memphis adds two new faces to its 2021 recruiting class. The Memphis Tigers have added 6-7 Sharpshooter John Camden , and 6-6 two way player Jordan Nesbit to its 2021 class that already includes Josh Minott.
Let’s get to know the players a little more.
Jordan Camden is a 6-7 small forward who comes from Brewster academy, a well respected program in New Hampshire. Camden received offers from multiple programs including Florida, Indiana ,Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and many more. Jordan eventually decided To play for Penny Hardaway ,and The Memphis Tigers.
The Small forward brings length , and shooting to the Memphis program as well as the ability to get to the basket. His skill set can put him at a few positions on the court ,and will be a matchup problem for a lot of teams.
Camden will get a lot of run at Memphis , and hopes he can help The Tigers fill it up in the near future.
A 6-6 Small Forward who to some is the best two way player in The class of 2021. Nesbitt comes from St. Louis Christian school out of St. Louis Missouri.
The combo guard had multiple offers from schools all around; Illinois, Iowa State ,and Iowa just to name a few. His gritty play and hustle is what fuels his fire. Nesbitt is known as a lockdown defender ,and has a knack for getting to his opponents with his defensive ability. Getting to the bucket is no problem for Jordan. His physicality and strength can punish opposing teams who try guarding him. Penny Hardaway landed a tough nosed player who will be a fan favorite in Memphis.
The University of Memphis now has a top ten class for the 2021 season ,and looks to add a few more players here in the near future. Penny Hardaway, Cody Toppert, and Tony Madlock have been on a tear on the recruiting trail as of late , and it doesn’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon.
The coaching staff is working hard to land 6’11 big man Sam Ayomide who is very close to recent commit John Camden.
