Week six Chiefs Bills Preview: Can Either Team Bounce Back?

Chiefs Rush Defense

The Bills have become more pass happy than years past and the reason for that has been Josh Allen‘s vast improvement. They still need to get back to their run game, however, as the Chiefs run defense is the weakest part of the team. The defense is giving up 5.0 YPC as well as the fourth most rushing yards per game at 157.6. The Bills have a lot talent in the ground game and the defense won’t have much of an answer.

Chiefs Passing Game

It doesn’t matter if the defense is lights out against the run if the Bills don’t have a way to stop Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. Last season, the Bills pass defense was one of the best in the league, but they have seen some regression this year. The Bills have given up a triple digit passer rating in four straight weeks, along with nine passing touchdowns and only one interception in that span.

Extra Time

Originally, Kansas City was going to face Buffalo on a short week. It would have been a tall task to go to Buffalo on three days of rest after a physical loss against Las Vegas. Instead, due to COVID, the game was delayed until Monday and gave the Chiefs plenty of rest and extra time to prepare. Andy Reid is 18-3 coming off of a bye and while the team hasn’t technically had their bye week, it still is extra time for the master of game-planning to prepare even more.

• LB Matt Milano is questionable

Final Prediction

If this game has remained at it’s original time, then the Bills would have pulled off the huge win. The game isn’t at its regular time, though. With plenty of rest, Mahomes and the offense will simply be to much for the Bills to contain and match.
