17 days after the NBA crowned LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers the champion, they dropped an absolute BOMB.
It was reported earlier today, that despite recent reports of the 2020-21 NBA Season looking more like a 2021-22 NBA season (with dates in January, February, and even March being thrown out as possibilities) the NBA and NBPA board of governors were meeting today to the discuss the circumstances to return on Christmas Day.
As the fans excitement for the possibilities and anticipation of a final decision reached its peak of the NBA starting on Christmas Day (best Christmas ever am I right?), Adam Silver said “Hold my beer.”
According to the Athletics Shams Charania, the NBA will possibly start back up THREE DAYS EARLIER on December 22, 2020.
To put that into perspective, the NBA will tip off in less than two months.
LESS. THAN. TWO. MONTHS.
With this news dropping the likelihood of free agency, draft interviews/workouts, the combine, the draft itself, and so much more is going to be happening sooner than expected.
Which means the influx of news we are about to receive in the coming 2 months is going to be simply glorious for a fan of basketball.
