Three Keys for a Broncos Victory Against the Chiefs

If Denver want to hang with the Super Bowl champs, there are three main things that they need to execute.

Win the Turnover Battle

Giving more opportunity to the Chiefs offense is asking for a loss. Denver has to win the turnover battle, then convert those turnovers into points. In the win last week against the Patriots, the defense forced 3 turnovers. The Broncos were not able to capitalize as much as they should have because they threw two interceptions of their own in the fourth quarter.

If the Broncos can get some turnovers early, and not give it away, it will be huge for the momentum of the game. When you give Patrick Mahomes less chances to score, it will always work in your favor.

Get Lindsay Rolling

Phillip Lindsay had over 100 yards running last week in Foxborough, and it really helped the offense. By having Lindsay running well it helps Lock and the offense open up the passing game. Besides the two picks in the fourth quarter, Lock looked very good at keeping the ball safe and making good decisions.

Finish Drives

Denver won last week only on field goals. The offense moved the ball very well, having multiple drives over 50 yards, but they just couldn’t put it in the end zone.

The Broncos have to finish drives with touchdowns it will be interesting to see how Head Coach Vic Fangio handles this. Getting tight end Noah Fant back is huge for Denvers red-zone attack.

Broncos Have a Chance

Denver has been looking very good these last two weeks, but they will have a real test at home with the Chiefs. If they play clean, fundamental football they have a shot to knock off the Super Bowl champs.
