With a tumultuous off-season, many teams hinge their playoff hopes on their quarterback. With 32 starting quarterbacks, it is only natural to make a quarterback power rankings to track players throughout the season. Some will rise. Some will fall.

No. 32: Ben DiNucci, Dallas Cowboys (Last Week: Not Included)
DiNucci posted a comically bad 24.9 PFF grade in his first few NFL snaps. He will be starting a prime time game in a few days. Yikes.
No. 31: Kyle Allen, Washington Football Team (+1)
It is a testament to how putrid Dallas’s defense is that Allen looked like a competent quarterback on Sunday.
No. 30: Drew Lock, Denver Broncos (-5)
The snow had a better passer rating than Lock did on Sunday.
No. 29: Sam Darnold, New York Jets (Last Week: Not Included)
If a week of football comes and goes without Darnold throwing one of the worst interceptions in NFL history, was it a real week of football?
No. 28: Nick Foles, Chicago Bears (-4)
Chicago’s offense against the Rams was the equivalent of a five-year-old playing Madden and only throwing the ball a mile downfield.
No. 27: Cam Newton, New England Patriots (-13)
A Fig Newton would have been more effective at throwing footballs than Newton was against the 49ers.
No. 26: Gardner Minshew, Jacksonville Jaguars (+2)
Minshew has a few nice plays every week, but he has a ceiling on how well he can play.
No. 25: Daniel Jones, New York Giants (+2)
Legend has it that Jones is still falling down.
No. 24: Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (+2)
Tagovailoa will make his first NFL start on Sunday.
No. 23: Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings (+6)
Cousins managed to escape the bye week without throwing an interception.
No. 22: Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns (+8)
After one of the worst quarters by any player in NFL history, Mayfield completed 22 of his last 23 passes for five touchdowns and a comeback victory. However, it was the Bengals.
No. 21: Philip Rivers, Indianapolis Colts (+1)
Rivers and the Colts were on their bye.
No. 20: Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles (+1)
Wentz had one of the worst throws of the week
On the other hand, his touchdown to Boston Scott was one of the best throws of the season.
No. 19: Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons (+1)
Ryan is just a solid NFL quarterback.
No. 18: Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers (+1)
Garoppolo was not asked to be the catalyst for the San Francisco offense. He played better than the two interceptions would indicate.
No. 17: Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams (-1)
Goff made the throws necessary to beat the Bears. He was not special, but he was at least more competent than his opponent.
No. 16: Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals (+2)
Murray rebounded from an inefficient game against the Cowboys to help Arizona steal a victory from Seattle.
No. 15: Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions (+2)
Stafford is steadily improving each week.
No. 14: Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (-2)
Herbert has a rocket launcher for an arm, and he will single-handedly win some games for the Chargers in the next two months.
No. 13: Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (-5)
Allen has cooled dramatically from a hot start.
He lost another fumble on Sunday.
No. 12: Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals: (-1)
Burrow has led the Bengals to a 5-1-1 record against the spread. Eventually, the real wins will come.
No. 11: Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers (+4)
Bridgewater is the puppetmaster for a strong Carolina offense. D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson are having terrific seasons.
No. 10: Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (+0)
Jackson and the Ravens were on bye.
No. 9: Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers (+0)
In most cases, throwing three interceptions would be a red flag. However, one of the interceptions was tipped at the line of scrimmage. Another interception was practically an arm punt at the end of the first half. The final interception resulted from a sensational play by Jayon Brown in the red zone.
Roethlisberger was unlucky to have three interceptions on the day.
No. 8: Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints (+5)
Many thought Brees would begin to erode throughout the season, but he is rising up the quarterback power rankings for good reason. Even with a depleted wide receiving corps, Brees was great on Sunday.
No. 7: Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders (+0)
Carr and Henry Ruggs did not connect down the field as they had in previous games, but Ruggs fundamentally changes how well Carr can play.
No. 6: Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans (-4)
Tannehill did not play as well as the stats indicate, but he led a potential game-tying drive that ended in a missed Stephen Gostkowski field goal.
No. 5: Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans (+0)
Watson fired off his fifth straight game with multiple passing touchdowns and a passer rating above 109.
No. 4: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers (+0)
Rodgers and the Packers feasted on a bad Houston defense.
No. 3: Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (+0)
Mahomes did not need to be special for the Chiefs to massacre the Broncos.
No. 2: Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (-1)
Wilson has the highest touchdown percentage since the 1950s, but he had three bad interceptions against Arizona.
No. 1: Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+5)
Brady does benefit from excellent weapons, and Antonio Brown is coming soon, but Brady has been the best offensive player for the Buccaneers this season. He is not quite 2007 or 2017 Brady, but he is squarely in the running for his fourth MVP
