Aung La NSang rematch in Yangon, Myanmar?

On October 30, 2020, at ONE Championship Inside The Matrix event, the huge fan base of Myanmar favorite so Aung La NSang was left stunned by the surprise loss of the Middleweight Champion. Aung La NSang lost his title to the undefeated Dutchman Reinier DeRidder.

For those who saw the event, NSang fell in the 1st round to a rear-naked choke by DeRidder, handing NSang his first defeat in 7 bouts.

Although in the post-fight interview, NSang said he was open to working his way back by taking a trilogy fight with Bigdash, who he is currently 1-1 with. But all it points to is that the fight that his fan base understandably would like to see would be the title rematch.

Yangon rematch?

Fighting out of Yangon Myanmar, NSang remains undefeated with a record of 7-0. Some of his most notable victories are over Hasegawa, Ngalani, and his title victory over the previously mentioned Bigdash. As mentioned above NSang is held as a king of the people, with a giant bronze statue erected in his homeland. For the people of Myanmar, the loss was far more personal than for many. I believe that a rematch with DeRidder in Myanmar would hold a whole new meaning for NSang. A far more spiritual feel to it and would surely mean so much to NSang, the Son of Myanmar to regain his title in front of his own people.
