Is there a badder 41-year old than UFC Light Heavyweight Glover Teixeira?
The 41-year old faced some early adversity in the first-round, eating power punches from Santos, who started aggressively. Teixeria, doing what Teixeria does best and absorbs the heavy shots, then implementing his wrestling to find himself in a dominant position to end the round.

Teixeira shortly made his case to be the next challenger to take on current LHW Champion Jan Błachowicz. Here’s what Teixeira had to say in the post-fight interview with Jon Anik in regards to Błacowicz vs Adesanya.
“Dana White, come on man, you gonna give this shot to Adesanya and make me wait? 5 fights in a row, beating these young guys is not easy. Give me that title shot!”
The Brazilan was also asked about his thoughts in a potential match-up with former LHW Champion Jon Jones and insists Jones is not on his mind at all, all his focus is on Jan Błachowicz.
