The last entry in the ONE Championship Matrix series was a night of knockouts for the MMA athletes and razor-close decisions for the ONE Super Series contingent.
The rankings once again took a big hit tonight as contenders of both Kickboxing and Muay Thai broke through in a big way. Sam-A Gaiyanghadao better watches his back.
These are the ONE: Inside the Matrix 4 results.
Mazar Cruises To An Easy Win
Choi Jeong Yun was unable to use her length to her advantage as the number 5 ranked Strawweight smothered her and pulled her to the ground as early and often as she could.
The pressure was too much for the South Korean, as Mazar ended the fight via Ground and Pound knockout late in the third round earning her first win in the promotion.
Takahashi KO’s His Way Back to Contender Status
Ryogo Takahashi redeems himself in a big way by beating the undefeated Yoon Chang Min in the second round. The Japanese relied heavily on counters and combinations to deflect the pressure brought on by the confident South Korean.
Pretty Boy Finishes Pucci With A Body Shot
There was no feeling-out process for this fight as Bruno Pucci shot for takedowns from the opening bell. Unfortunately, despite his effort, he failed to drag the South Korean to the ground.
Once they separated, Kwon Won Il put everything he had into the Brazilian’s liver with follow-up shots to the head for good measure. He gives South Korea its first and only wins for the night as a Knockout in the first round.
Lasiri Enters the Muay Thai Top 5
In a potential Fight of the Night of this ONE: Inside the Matrix 4 results, there was not a single second that didn’t have action. Both fighters were in each other’s face the entire night and traded shots.
It came down to the wire with a Split Decision win for the Italian to break into the Top 5 of the Muay Thai rankings and potentially rematch Sam-A Gaiyanghadao for the title.
Zikreev Breaks Into the Kickboxing Top 5
The debuting Russian weathered the storm of combinations brought by the number 2 ranked Kickboxing Strawweight Wang. Zikreev used forward pressure, unorthodox striking, and just a hair more activity to edge out a Split Decision victory.
These were the ONE: Inside the Matrix 4 results. Who are you excited to see again? Look forward to even more Kickboxing action as Roman Kryklia looks to defend his title at ONE: Big Bang on 4 December.
