Wednesday evening news broke of the blockbuster trade via Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards in exchange for John Wall and a protected 2023 first-round pick.

More details on the first round pick from Shams Charania of the Athletic:

John Wall, the former All-NBA point guard, has been battling injuries for the last two seasons, playing a total of 32 games over that span.
