Aaron Rodgers vs. the Eagles: What Fantasy Football Fans Should Expect

Aaron Rodgers vs. the Eagles? Fantasy football owners and fans should have a ton of fun with this one.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon in Week 13 NFL action, which could be a key game for fantasy football players. Coming into this week"s matchup, Rodgers has proven that he should be in consideration for the MVP award. He has certainly turned back the clock and is still one of the most feared quarterbacks in the game.

As for the Eagles, they are struggling on the defensive side of the ball. Quite frankly, they are struggling on the offensive side of the ball as well. That bodes well for Rodgers and the Packers.

Throughout the first 11 games of the season. thus far, Rodgers has completed 68.5 percent of his pass attempts for 3,100 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. He has also rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.

What to Expect From Aaron Rodgers vs. the Eagles

Quite simply, you should be expecting fantasy dominance. The Packers are coming off of a massive blowout win over the Chicago Bears last week on Sunday Night Football. Rodgers was once again spectacular and should be again this week.

Against the Bears, he completed 21 of his 29 passes for 211 yards, four touchdowns, and no picks. Those numbers came against a much better defense than what the Eagles have.

Rodgers has been receiving a lot of help from his supporting cast this season. Despite the Packers not taking a wide receiver in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, they have been one of the league"s most potent units.

Davante Adams has been arguably the best wide receiver in the game. Even though he missed a couple of games due to injury, he still has 74 receptions for 908 yards and 11 touchdowns. Allen Lazard and Marques Valdes-Scantling have stepped up when needed and Robert Tonyan has turned into a huge weapon for Rodgers at the tight end position.

Add in the new addition of wide receiver Tavon Austin and things could get even more intriguing. Most expect Austin to play a larger role on special teams than on offense, but you never know. This team is a little banged up on the outside, as all of their receivers have missed time this season.

So without further delay, let"s take a look at what fantasy football owners should be expecting from Aaron Rodgers.

It would be reasonable to expect Rodgers to carve up the Eagles" secondary to the tune of 275 yards, three touchdowns, and no picks. There is a chance he could throw an interception, but they come few and far between for him this season. Either way, he is going to be one of the elite fantasy football quarterbacks this week.

Even at 37 years old, Rodgers is slinging the ball like he was back in his prime. He may not be quite as fast and athletic as he once was, but he can still get outside of the pocket and wreak havoc on opposing defenses. That is not necessary for him to have success, however, as he has shown time and again that he can sling the ball from the pocket with anyone.

Expect another impressive showing from Aaron Rodgers against the Eagles. The Packers will win this game behind that performance and will move to 9-3 on the season. If you have Rodgers on your fantasy roster, sit back and enjoy watching him go to work.
