Just one hour before the start of ONE Championship’s Big Bang event, Michael Schiavello, the promotion’s prominent voice, tweeted that there will be a huge announcement later on the event. A statement like this sure does draw curiosity from fight fans, and the curiosity pays off as we are presented with terrific news.

Is Demetrious Johnson the next ONE Flyweight Champion?
The greatest flyweight of all time, one of the best pound-for-pound ever, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson finally makes his long-awaited return. This February 24, 2021, Johnson will challenge champion Adriano Moraes for the ONE Flyweight World Title. Both men have been scheduled to fight before and have faced multiple postponements, and finally, we will see them go head-to-head.
Demetrious Johnson parted with the UFC, and joined ONE Championship in 2019. Mighty Mouse immediately built a 3-fight win streak with wins over top contenders in Yuya Wakamatsu, Tatsumitsu Wada and Danny Kingad. Demetrious Johnson then went on to win the ONE Flyweight Grand Prix, earning the right of a title shot.
Demetrious Johnson will look to add another belt to his legendary career. Will he continue his flawless ONE journey, and successfully be at the top again?
