Israel Adesanya Receives Purple Belt In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

On Tuesday morning Adesanya took to Instagram to show off his new belt, shortly followed by a video of Coach Galvao wrapping it around an emotional Israel.

Israel Adesanya who is currently (20-0) within his MMA career, has never won by submission. All 15 of his finishes have come by knockout, but could we see a change from Adesanya?

After attaining a significant landmark in his career Israel Adesanya teases his future opponents to take him down so that he can secure his first submission victory.

“I hope they start shooting on me more because I want to choke somebody out. People were shooting on me at the beginning, and then they realized, ‘We can’t be doing that, f**k it let’s strike, oh we can’t do that either,” Adesanya told MMA Fighting.
