Aung La NSang, arguably the most successful champion in ONE Championship. The Myanmar superstar and hero became a two-division world champion and has defended both belts, a feat very rare to accomplish. Aung La NSang is one of the most famous and loved fighters by the ONE Championship community, especially his hometown, where they even built a bronze statue to honor his greatness.
Aung La NSang’s journey is a story of inspiration. At the beginning of his career, he had ups and downs, even bouncing from one promotion to the other. It was then when he signed with ONE Championship that he started his impeccable run, going 11 wins with only 1 loss. His loss, however, was avenged as he made history in front of the huge Myanmar crowd. There in his beloved country, he defeated Vitaly Bigdash in their rematch and became the ONE Middleweight World Champion.
The illustrious career of Aung La NSang continues, beating each and every one of the contenders faced upon him. Recently, in a very heartbreaking fashion, Aung La lost his championship to Reinier De Ridder. As sad as it is, Aung La NSang’s path to greatness can’t be tarnished. He has already cemented his case as a Hall-of-Famer, and one of the greatest ever to step in the ONE Championship octagon.
