4 Packers Super Bowl Keys

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are now 11-3 after taking care of business in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers. With just two games remaining in the regular season, everyone is starting to look ahead to the playoffs. Once again, just like last year, the Packers are one of the top teams in the NFC.

Coming into the season, everyone was wondering what version of Rodgers they would see. Well, he has passed every test with flying colors. Many now believe that he will end up winning the NFL MVP award when everything is said and done.

So far through 14 games, Rodgers has completed 69.6 percent of his pass attempts, for 3,828 yards, 40 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. He is having one of the best seasons of his entire career. Now, the question becomes, can he lead the Packers to another Super Bowl victory?

Around Rodgers, the Packers have built a very competitive roster. They have Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, Robert Tonyan, Allen Lazard, and a solid offensive line. Defensively, they have big-time playmakers in Za"Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Jaire Alexander, Adrian Amos, and Darnell Savage.

Brian Gutekunst has done an excellent job of building this team. However, he received a ton of criticism for taking quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL Draft. Only time will tell about that selection, but things seem to be working out.

All of that being said, let"s dive in and take a look at the Packers Super Bowl keys.

Packers Super Bowl Keys: Feed Aaron Jones

Matt LaFleur has always loved using a two-back system. Both Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams receive a lot of touches, but the Packers need to make sure to feed Jones the ball. He is without a doubt the better running back between the two.

On the year, Jones has carried the football 180 times for 968 yards and eight touchdowns. He has also caught 41 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns.

Jones is the piece that takes the pressure off of Rodgers and the passing game. For the Packers to be their best, they need him firing on all cylinders. In the playoffs, they need to get Jones involved early and often and not forget about him.

Packers Super Bowl Keys: Must Continue Pressuring Opposing Quarterbacks

Another major key for the Packers will be making sure to keep the pressure on opposing quarterbacks. They are at their best when Za"Darius Smith, Preston Smith, and Rashan Gary are getting home. Sacks are not the be-all, end-all for the Packers, but hurries are.

Green Bay has enough talent in their secondary to make plays. Alexander, Savage, Amos, and Kevin King are all capable. If opposing quarterbacks are rushed, mistakes will turn into huge defensive plays.

Thankfully, the Packers have been getting hot at the right time. Both the “Smith Bros" are playing well and Gary has been playing well also. That needs to continue moving forward.

Packers Super Bowl Keys: Keep Aaron Rodgers Upright

For most of the season, the Packers have done a good job of protecting Rodgers. He has been sacked just 18 times during the year. In order to win a Super Bowl, that needs to continue moving forward.

Rodgers is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks that the NFL has ever seen. When he has time, he can carve almost any defense up. That is the main key for the offense.

It will be interesting to see how the offensive line handles the intensity that the NFL playoffs bring. The Packers have to like their chances with their current group of guys. Led by superstar David Bakhtiari, this group needs to continue playing at a high level.

Packers Super Bowl Keys: Young Recievers Most Show Up

Finally, the Packers need their young wideouts to keep performing. Too many times this season, Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Allen Lazard have not performed up to the level that was expected from them. That can"t happen come playoff time. This is by far the biggest of the Packers Super Bowl keys

In the playoffs, teams take their game to the next level. Green Bay will need their young wide receivers around Davante Adams to do the same. Both Valdes-Scantling and Lazard are more than capable of playing at a high level.

Should the Packers" wide receivers step up and play at a high level, a trip to the Super Bowl is a very real possibility. If they disappear, they will come up short. These are the Green Bay Packers Super Bowl keys if they want to make it to “The Big Game".
