2021 Blue Jays rumors continue to thrive in mainstream media daily, with the latest rumors pointing towards Kris Bryant and Justin Turner heading to Toronto.

2021 Blue Jays Rumors: Does Kris Bryant End Up In Toronto

Kris Bryant to Toronto chatter has gained some serious traction since the Toronto Blue Jays latest signing of George Springer. The Blue Jays have seemingly solidified their outfield depth and now turn their sights on a possible addition to third base. 2021 Blue Jays rumors have mentioned that trade could still happen.

Kris Bryant has been linked to the Blue Jays and other teams, with the New York Mets also interested in his services. There is no disguising that Toronto needs a solid everyday third baseman to help shore up the infield for 2021.

The six-year member of the Chicago Cubs can help at the plate as well carrying a career .280 batting average including 778 hits and 142 homers. Bryant is a former Rookie of the year winner, a World Series Champion, and a 3-time all-star.

The Blue Jays would definitely benefit immediately if they can add Kris Bryant to the mix, his age would be another plus. At the young age of 29 years old there is plenty of gas left in the tank.

2021 Blue Jays Rumors: Justin Turner Heading North?

The rumors swirling in the media have pointed to Justin Turner possibly heading to Toronto to help out the third base issues. This is a riskier move for the Blue Jays as Turner is aging, Justin is already 36-years of age and is seeking a four-year deal.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly offered Turner a two-year contract however, he is looking for a longer-term and has not acknowledged the offer from the Dodgers. The World Series champion will be nearly 41 when a potential four-year contract would be coming to an end, not likely he makes it the full term.

Justin Turner has played 12 seasons in MLB. He spent two seasons with the Baltimore Orioles, three seasons with the New York Mets, and the last seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Justin has accumulated 1029 hits, 124 home runs, and a .292 batting average during his career.

The addition of Justin Turner could definitely benefit the Blue Jays in 2021 and 2022, the decline will likely begin following his second year of a potential four-year contract. This wouldn’t be horrible for Toronto with an abundance of young talent on the current roster and developing within the organization.

2021 Blue Jays Rumors: Pitching Upgrade is Still Possible

The Toronto Blue Jays remain a potential landing spot for big-name players that are still available through MLB free agency. The potential of Trevor Bauer coming to Toronto is a real possibility, this would be a huge upgrade for the starting pitching rotation. It seems the Blue Jays like the current rotation and is looking to take care of other holes in their lineup, time will tell if this is true or not.
