The main event will come a week before former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa square off for a shot at the title against Israel Adesanya.
The UFC is targeting a middleweight bout between Darren Till and Marvin Vettori to headline a UFC Fight Night card on April 10th.
The news was first reported by ESPN, yet it is unclear as to where the Fight Night card will take place. However, the main event will be a five-rounder with Vettori stating the “undisputed European crown” will be on the line having publicly asked for the fight in December.
Darren Till was forced to pull out of a five round main event against Jack Hermansson in December as he had an apparent foot injury. Holland was then scheduled to fight the Norwegian before the ‘Trailblazer’ was out with a COVID-19 test coming back positive.
Before Vettori took his opportunity, stood up to the challenge and defeated Jack Hermansson with a dominant unanimous decision victory.
Darren Till will be hoping to return to winning ways as he comes off a decision loss to Whittaker, where the Englishman lost out to by one round to the Australian.

It was later revealed following the clash that Darren Till had tore the MCL in his knee during the fight, making the close decision loss even more impressive in Till’s showcase of his middleweight credentials despite losing.
The main event will be a battle of the Europeans as ‘The Italian Dream’ Vettori fights Liverpool, England, native Darren Till. With both looking to illustrate why they deserve a title shot, as both fighters are possibly one win away from a title-shot eliminator fight.
Israel Adesanya actually revealed his admiration for Till’s striking following the 28-year-old’s Fight Island main event against Whittaker, stating on Twitter he would like to one day face the Englishman.
Till has found new hope of becoming the next British champion having moved up to middleweight from welterweight in 2019. He made the return to middleweight having previously fought at the weight-class to face Kelvin Gastelum, who he defeated on split decision.
Meanwhile Vettori is riding a four fight win streak since his loss to now champion Adesanya back in 2018. His most recent victories come over Hermansson who he defeated over five rounds and his impressive first round submission of Karl Roberson in their grudge match.

Both fighters have demonstrated progression in their past two bouts with fans eager to see them climb the rankings and earn that elusive title shot. With Vettori eager to get his redemption victory over ‘The Last Stylebender’, Israel Adesanya.
