MLB Breaking News: Grapefruit League Pods
The MLB has revised its formal spring training schedule in Florida and will now shift into pods for 2021. This will place teams in a pod set in Florida on the east coast or west coast.
This MLB breaking news means the schedule will have the teams on the west coast playing 28 games, while the teams on the east will play 24. The east coast pod will make up the remaining games through intrasquad matchups.

MLB Spring Training Dates
The teams will play within their pods limiting the travel and chance of COVID-19 exposure ahead of the 2021 MLB Season. Teams are expected to begin Grapefruit League play on February 27th and will end on March 6th, 2021.
There has been no formal announcement of which teams will end up in what pods. Also, there is no indication if the Cactus League, which is held in Arizona will adopt a similar strategy to the one being used in Florida.
