Paddy Pimblett Returns on March 20 as He Faces Italian Prospect Davide Martinez
Paddy Pimblett will be hopeful of building some momentum and establishing a winning streak for himself for the first time since 2016. The Scouser has faced some tough challenges in recent years picking up losses here and there, also agonizing matchups following through, keeping the 26-year old on the sidelines.
On the night it will be exactly a year since Paddy Pimblett last fought, and boy did he put on a show in Manchester, England at Cage Warriors 113. It took ‘The Baddy’ just one round to dismantle Ireland’s Decky Dalton and catapult himself back into the win column.
Davide Martinez, fighting out of Livorno, Italy, will make the walk under the Cage Warriors banner for the first time with a mass of hype behind him. Five of the Italians eight professional victories have come in the way of decision, stating he’s a durable individual who has no issue going the distance. Three of Martinez’s TKO/KO’s have come in the very first round. A tough opponent to welcome Paddy Pimblett back.
March the 20th will mark Paddy Pimblett’s first return to London in over 3 years, and he is expecting another memorable night in the capital.
Paddy Pimblett on his upcoming bout.
“I hope he’s ready for a scrap come fight night because I’m coming to make a statement,” said Pimblett in a short interview with Cage Warriors. “I’m happy to have a new opponent to focus on and want to thank Davide for taking the fight as he’s the only person to actually want to fight me. Everyone else talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk.”
Cage Warriors 120, 121 and 122 will take place on the 18th, 19th and 20th of March. You don’t want to miss it.
