In an extraordinary turn of events, in what was maybe one of the latest fight cancelations of all time, a last-second Jamall Emmers medical issue caused his fight with Chas Skelly to be canceled. This came after Skelly had already made the walk and was warming up in the cage!

Chas Skelly (18-3 MMA, 7-3-1NC UFC) last fought in September of 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 16 against Jordan Griffin. He was victorious via a decision victory.

Jamall Emmers (18-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was on a four-fight win streak coming into his UFC debut against Georgian rising star Giga Chikadze at UFC 248. Losing the split decision, Emmers would bounce back at UFC Vegas 5 and win a decision over Vince Cachero.

Last-Second Emmers Medical Issue Shocks Everyone

This is the first time something like this last-second Emmers medical issue has ever occurred in the UFC and it adds yet another fight to the list of canceled bouts for UFC Vegas 19.

Emmers was reportedly dealing with these back spasms throughout camp and tried to push through. It’s not known at this time if the UFC will be looking to reschedule this fight for a later date or if Skelly will look to move on to another opponent.
