Misha Cirkunov vs Ryan Spann will feature two hard-hitting UFC light heavyweights eager to get into the upper echelon of their division! Originally booked for UFC Vegas 17, Cirkunov pulled out in early December due to injury.

First reported by the UFC, the fight is now back on and scheduled to take place at UFC Vegas 21 on March 13th!

The Clash of Power: Misha Cirkunov vs Ryan Spann

Misha Cirkunov (15-5 MMA, 6-3 UFC), the power puncher and submission threat, is a Canadian-Latvian MMA fighter. He last saw UFC octagon time almost a year and a half ago in September of 2019; where on the road to this upcoming scrap he fought and beat Jimmy Crute via Peruvian necktie submission at UFC ESPN+ 16.

Being 2-3 in his last five, one thing is for certain: Cirkunov has 100% shared the cage with some of the best fighters at 205 lbs. He has notable knockout losses to Volkan Oezdemir (UFC Fight Night 109), Glover Teixeira (UFC on Fox 26), and Johnny Walker (UFC 235). Some notable wins for Cirkunov, other than the previously mentioned Crute victory, is the guillotine over Nikita Krylov (UFC 206), and an arm-triangle against Ion Cutelaba (UFC Fight Night 89).

Ryan Spann (18-6 MMA, 4-1 UFC) has been the more active man leading into this match. With a back-and-forth, insane battle against Johnny Walker ending in a KO loss, the outcome of this fight will be very important for the young and hungry American.

Interestingly enough, although a power puncher himself, Spann has the majority of his wins by submission finish, with 11 out of 18 victories coming via sub. Most of those are by guillotine, so Cirkunov should definitely be careful shooting in on “Superman” Spann.

It is not clear where the Misha Cirkunov vs Ryan Spann fight will land on the card, but it will definitely be one to watch! The UFC has yet to announce the full line-up for this event, but the reported bouts on the card are listed below:
