A matchup between two heavyweights has been booked for UFC Fight Night 191 when Maurice Greene and Marcos Rogerio de Lima collide. The fight was initially reported by MMA Junkie’s Farah Hannoun and Nolan King.

Maurice Greene and Marcos Rogerio de Lima Meet in Heavyweight Bout on May 8

Maurice Greene (9-5, 4-3 UFC) has dropped three of his last four after beginning his UFC run with three consecutive victories. In his last performance, he was defeated by Greg Hardy in the second round. Greene holds notable victories over Gian Villante, Junior Albini, and Jeff Hughes.

Marcos Rogerio de Lima (17-7-1, 6-5 UFC) will enter this fight looking to rebound from a submission loss to Alexander Romanov. All five of the Brazilian’s losses in the promotion have come by way of submission. He has alternated wins and losses in his last ten and holds notable victories over Ben Sosoli, Adam Wieczorek, and Jeremy Kimball.

UFC Fight Night 191 is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. UFC veterans Donald Cerrone and Diego Sanchez are reportedly serving as the event headliner. Although not confirmed by the promotion, the list of reported bouts on tap are below:

  • Welterweight: Donald Cerrone vs Diego Sanchez
  • Bantamweight: Holly Holm vs Julianna Pena
  • Flyweight: Ryan Benoit vs Zarrukh Adashev
  • Welterweight: Christian Aguilera vs Carlston Harris
  • Heavyweight: Maurice Greene vs Marcos Rogerio de Lima
