Ramazan Kuramagomedov has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled bout with Alex Oliveira due to an undisclosed illness. This news was first reported by MMA Fighting.

Ramazan Kuramagomedov Out of UFC Vegas 20 Bout Against Alex Oliveira

Ramazan Kuramagomedov (8-0, 0-0 UFC) was set to make his UFC debut after stepping in on short notice to face Oliveira when Randy Brown had to withdraw earlier in the week. It’s not known what the severity of the illness is, so we don’t know if this fight will get rescheduled, or if the UFC will look to go another way for Kuramagomedov’s official UFC debut.

Alex Oliveira (22-9-1 2 NC, 11-7 1 NC UFC) was looking to get his first fight of 2021 in but now will have to wait a little while longer. It’s absolutely rotten luck for Oliveira, who was looking to get back into the win column after losing to Peter Sobotta by unanimous decision last July. Oliveira is a pro and always down to scrap, so don’t be surprised if he jumps on a short-notice opportunity if one presents itself in the next few weeks.

With the fight between Ramazan Kuramagomedov and Alex Olivera off the card, the rest of the card is as follows:

Main Card

  • Heavyweight: Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Ciryl Gane
  • Light Heavyweight: Nikita Krylov vs Magomed Ankalaev
  • Flyweight: Montana Del Rosa vs Mayra Bueno Silva
  • Bantamweight: Pedro Munhoz vs Jimmie Rivera
  • Strawweight: Angela Hill vs Ashley Yoder
  • Featherweight: Alex Caceres vs Kevin Croom

Preliminary Card

  • Lightweight: Alexander Hernandez vs Thiago Moises
  • Flyweight: Alexis Davis vs Sabina Mazo
  • Bantamweight: Ronnie Lawrence vs Vince Cachero
  • Light Heavyweight: Dustin Jacoby vs Maxim Grishin
