Horrific News: JDS and Overeem Cut by UFC!

First reported by TSN Sports, it appears as if the latest trimmings of the UFC roster include a Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem cut. JDS also confirmed the news about his own cut on Instagram, however, there’s no official word about the Alistair Overeem cut.

Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem Cut, and It Cuts Deep Into the Hearts of Fans

Say it ain’t so, right? Who could actually believe this news, or should we say, who wants to believe it?! Sadly, TSN Sports is credible, and so is Marcel Dorf. You don’t earn a reputation in this industry for being accurate unless you are! So, if there isn’t some huge misunderstanding, the unbelievable Alistair Overeem cut by the UFC is true. Of course, JDS confirmed his own release from the UFC, so there’s no question about the validity of that one.

Junior Dos Santos (21-9, 15-8 UFC) has lost his last four UFC fights. Going up against a murderers row in Francis Ngannou, Curtis Blaydes, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Ciryl Gane. Losing to all four by KO/TKO. So, a JDS and Overeem cut could make sense for JDS, but what about the ‘Reem?

Alistair Overeem (47-19, 12-8 UFC) is 3-2 in his last five fights, with one of those two losses being four seconds away from resulting in a win for “The Demolition Man”. In his battle with Rozenstruik, Overeem had won every round before a literal face-splitting blow from “Bigi Boi” sat the ‘Reem down and prompted the referee to stop the fight.

Before the recent KO/TKO loss to Alexander Volkov at UFC on ESPN+ 42, there were giant hopes about “The Final Run” Overeem was on towards the title. Many believed he would retire if he lost, however after the Volkov loss Overeem made it known that he still wasn’t done.

What’s your opinion on the Overeem cut? Do you believe he should be let go? Or is the UFC sabotaging the already beaten-down remnants and re-creation of “The Final Run”. Where do you think JDS goes from here? As he did say he was excited for the future! Drop your takes and opinion down below in the comments!

Horrific? Junior Dos Santos. 37. Last 4 fights: 4 losses. All by TKO. Alistair. 40. Las 4 fights: 2 wins, 2 losses by KO. The win over Sakai was pure luck... Horrific is this article.
