Josh Parisian vs Roque Martinez Fight Booked for June 19th Card

Josh Parisian vs Roque Martinez is scheduled to go down on June 19th in a location yet to be determined. These heavyweights will collide in what’s sure to be a hard-hitting affair.

News of this fight’s announcement was first reported by MMA DNA. It’s since been detailed by other media outlets.

Josh Parisian vs Roque Martinez Set for June 19th

Josh Parisian (13-4, 0-1 UFC) earned an opportunity to compete on The Ultimate Fighter after securing a first-round finish on the Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018. After going 5-1 outside the UFC from 2018-20, Parisian was awarded another DWCS bout and he took advantage with another opening round finish. He fell just short in his UFC debut against Parker Porter, but he still projects to be a promising talent.

Roque Martinez (15-7-2, 0-2 UFC) is a 5’10” heavyweight with big-time power – when he lands cleanly it’s normally lights out. Like Parisian, he’s too searching for his first UFC win after losing his first two outings. He lost by submission to Alexander Romanov in his UFC debut. He followed that up with a unanimous decision loss to Don’Tale Mayes. Notably, Martinez holds a victory outside the UFC against Da Un Jung.

It’s not clear where the Josh Parisian vs Roque Martinez fight will land on the card, but it will certainly be one to watch! The rest of the announced June 19th card is as follows:

  • Welterweight: Matt Brown vs Dhiego Lima
  • Women’s Strawweight: Virna Jandiroba vs Kanako Murata
  • Heavyweight: Josh Parisian vs Roque Martinez
