Scott Holtzman (14-4, 7-4 UFC) has struggled to put together a career-changing UFC run. After trading wins and losses in his first four fights with the company, he strung together a three-fight run that ended with a loss to Nik Lentz at UFC on ESPN 1. Bouncing back with a doctor stoppage TKO over Dong Hyun Ma and a decision victory over Jim Miller, the potential for a big run was again ended when Holtzman was on the wrong side of a spinning-back fist by Berneil Dariush at UFC Vegas 6.

Mateusz Gamrot (17-1, 0-1 UFC) was like the Jon Jones of KSW before his departure to the UFC. Satire aside, at 17-0, hopes were insanely high for the Polish fighter’s debut. However, at UFC Fight Island 6 a split decision loss to Guram Kutateladze would end his undefeated streak!

Holtzman vs Gamrot features two different prospects. In the case of “Hot Sauce”, he’s looking to finally put together a run that leads him into the upper echelon of the 155-pound division. For “Gamer”, he’s got to prove to the critics that he has what it takes to make it in the big show! Both men are hoping to bounce back from heart-wrenching losses, so make sure you don’t miss this pivotal matchup!
