Ronaldo has been scintillating at Juventus. Maybe not as spectacular as his younger years, but his adaptation from a flying winger to a clinical striker has been a joy-to-behold. He has scored 92 goals in 121 games. Those kind of stats are something you don’t want to lose, although ‘The Old Lady’ seem eerily calm.

A lot of this may come down to the fact that Ronaldo and Juventus have struggled this term compared to their usual unstoppable best, or it may just be down to Ronaldo having a wandering eye. At the end of the day, his next co tract very well may be his last. It will be somewhere he wants to enjoy playing and cherish his moments. Maybe that is Juventus, maybe it isn’t.

Juventus director Fabio Paratici to Sky Sport about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future:

“There’s still another year of contract [expiring in June 2022]. Cristiano’s contract renewal is not an immediate issue on the agenda, there’s time to talk about it”.

This, whilst somewhat surprising, it’s also no surprise knowing how they conduct business. More to come @FootballOTH on twitter.
