Ilir Latifi and Tanner Boser To Fight on June 5th

June 5th Fight Night Card Adds Ilir Latifi and Tanner Boser Scrap

Ilir “The Sledgehammer” Latifi (14-8-0 1 NC, 7-6 UFC) is a former light heavyweight fighting out of Allstars Training Center in Boca Raton, Florida. In his last bout, Latifi moved up to heavyweight to fight Derrick Lewis at UFC 247. However, the Swedish fighter suffered a unanimous decision loss in his debut fight at heavyweight. This loss added to an already growing list of defeats that includes losses to Volkan Oezdemir and Corey Anderson. This three-fight losing streak has left Latifi in a precarious position and he needs a victory.

Tanner “The Bulldozer” Boser (19-7-1, 3-2 UFC) fights out of Shaved Bears MMA in Bonnyville, Alberta. For Boser, his last fight was against Andrei Arlovski last November. However, Boser suffered a unanimous decision loss, which ended his two-fight winning streak. In this streak, Boser claimed victories over Raphael Pessoa and Philipe Lins. Therefore, Boser will be aiming to get back to winning ways against Latifi.

Both men need a win, with a particular need for Latifi, who is in a precarious position within the UFC. While Boser needs to get back to winning ways and back into a winning streak that he hopes will see him jump up the heavyweight division.

It is expected that the Ilir Latifi and Tanner Boser fight will take place on the main card and it will certainly be one to watch! The full line-up and location of UFC Fight Night have yet to be announced. However, the fights announced for June 5th as of yet include:

• Heavyweight: Walt Harris vs Marcin Tybura
• Heavyweight: Ilir Latifi vs Tanner Boser
• Women’s Flyweight: Maryna Moroz vs Manon Fiorot
• Featherweight: Youssef Zalal vs Sean Woodson
