Scott Malone vs Elliot Hoye Set as Caged Steel 25 Main Event

It’s been an incredibly tough time for the regional shows over the last year with the impact COVID-19 has caused but, it is with great delight to inform fight fans that the UK’s leading promotion Caged Steel is back in business.

Caged Steel boss Dominic Gibbs announced exclusively on The Higher Level MMA podcast that Caged Steel would return on April 10th, hosting a behind closed doors event featuring a total of twenty bouts live on pay-per-view.

Caged Steel is yet to release the full fight card, but has announced their flyweight main event which consists of a Scotland v England clash, as Scott Malone takes on a young and hungry Elliot Hoye.

Caged Steel 25 Main Event

Scott Malone (7-4) makes the walk to the Caged Steel octagon for the second time in his professional career. The Scotsman will be hoping he can pick up where he left off at Caged Steel 16, all the way back in 2016 when finishing a hot prospect in Adam Bramhald in the first-round.

Scott Malone found himself back in the win column in September 2020, with a unanimous decision victory over Kieran O’Brien at EOC 7. The victory snapped a three-fight skid for “BOOM BOOM” after he parted ways with Cage Warriors and moved his camp to Higher Level MMA to train under head coach James Doolan.

At 33, the will to bounce back from three tough losses is a true reflection of Malone’s character. Sharing the octagon with former Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Jack Shore, and current Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Jack Cartwright shows you the level Malone is capable of competing at.

Elliott Hoye (7-2) will be as eager as ever to showcase his skills and right the wrong after suffering his second loss as a professional in his last outing in February of 2020 to Giacomo Santoro at Fusion FC 32.

Since turning to the pro-ranks in 2018, Elliot Hoye has been on a tear, running through flyweight after flyweight, and has a notable victory over former Cage Warriors flyweight champion Luke Shanks. Competing on various promotions such as Shock n’ Awe, BAMMA, and Battle Arena, Elliot has earned himself a respectable name amongst the regional circuit and has a 100% finish rate to back it up.
