Dan Ige Knockout Over Gavin Tucker Earns 50k Bonus

The Dan Ige Knockout over Gavin Tucker at UFC Vegas 21 was sudden and ferocious. Going down officially as a 22 second KO, Ige just blew the roof off his personal best as far as his fastest finish goes. Known as a grappler, and well-rounded Mixed Martial Artist, 50k Ige surely just earned his nickname tonight, and the label of a knockout artist as well.

The Dan Ige Knockout That Stole the Show?

Dan Ige was confident he could handle this fight any direction it went, but surely he wasn’t expecting such an emphatic walk-off knockout. After the fight, he had to admire his handi-work to fully realize what happened.

“I gotta see the highlight. I don’t even know what happened. I blacked out,” he said. Then, watching back the tape, he continued: “Boom goes the dynamite! 50k! I’m so happy to be here. A first-round KO’s nice. Can’t beat that!”

Ige also had an opponent in mind, a fellow knockout artist, with a feared reputation. Chang Sung Jung, “The Korean Zombie”.

“I would like to face the ‘Zombie'” Ige said. “I’ve been trying to fight this guy forever… Please man, give me the ‘Zombie’!”

Expecting his first child with his wife at home, The Dan Ige knockout displayed the power of “Dad Strength” and sent Tucker into a different dimension. Satire aside, 50k Ige seemingly could really use that bonus, so it must be heart-warming to fans to see him earn the $50k and steal the show with that performance.

Coming off a tough loss to Calvin Kattar at UFC Fight Island 1, 50k Ige looked like a completely different fighter tonight. Could we be witnessing the evolution of the young Hawaiian contender right in front of our very eyes?

For Tucker, this Dan Ige knockout loss snaps a three fight winning steak for him. Dousing the flames of what was a once scorching hot run.
