Merab Dvalishvili vs Cody Stamann Fight Rebooked for UFC Event on May 1

The fight was originally scheduled for December of last year but Stamann was ruled out for undisclosed reasons. The UFC then rescheduled the fight for February but due to contracting COVID-19, Dvalishvili had to drop out of the fight. Therefore, the UFC will be hoping that the third time is the charm.

Merab Dvalishvili vs Cody Stamann Set for UFC Event on May 1

Merab Dvalishvili (12-4, 5-2 UFC) fights out of Serra Jiu-Jitsu in Garden City Park, New York. “The Machine” is currently on a five-fight winning streak after a recent unanimous decision win over John Dodson. Dvalishvili didn’t make the best of starts to his UFC career after suffering two consecutive losses. However, since then Dvalishvili has shown that he is a relentless wrestler and a serious prospect at bantamweight.

Cody Stamann (19-3-1, 5-2-1 UFC) fights out of Michigan Top Team in Sparta, Michigan. “The Spartan” is currently coming off of a unanimous decision loss against Jimmie Rivera. Prior to this loss, Stamann had won two of his previous three bouts, beating Alejandro Perez and Brian Kelleher, as well as fight to a draw against Song Yadong.

For Stamann he will be looking at getting back into the win column and in doing so claim a big name on his record. However, for Dvalishvili, he will be looking at demonstrating why he is so highly rated and continue up the UFC bantamweight rankings.

Merab Dvalishvili vs Cody Stamann is expected to take place on the main card, so you do not want to miss this scrap! The full line-up and location of the card have yet to be announced. However, the fights announced for May 1st as of yet include:
