Youssef Zalal and Sean Woodson To Fight on June 5th

June 5th Fight Night Card Adds Youssef Zalal and Sean Woodson Scrap

Youssef “The Moroccan Devil” Zalal (10-4, 3-2 UFC) is from Casablanca, Morocco but fights out of the legendary Factory X gym in Englewood, Colorado. After starting his UFC career 3-0 in 2020, Zalal has had a bad run as of late, losing two straight fights by unanimous decision. Zalal will be looking to get his UFC career back on track against a tough opponent.

Zalal is more than up to the task, though, as he trains with some of the best fighters and coaches in the world. In addition to that, Zalal is constantly in the gym grinding and getting better. He’s also one of the striking coaches at Factory X, so he practically lives there. Zalal has been hungry to get back into the octagon and get back into the win column.

Sean “The Sniper” Woodson (7-1, 1-1 UFC) fights out of St. Louis, Missouri, and has enjoyed great success in his career up until his last fight. Starting his career 7-0, Woodson fell victim to a D’Arce choke by Julian Erosa back at UFC Vegas 4 for his first loss as a professional. Woodson’s opponent has two wins by D’Arce choke, so it will be interesting to see if that move comes into play again against Woodson.

Prior to his first UFC loss, Woodson managed to win a unanimous decision over Kyle Bochniak in his UFC debut. Woodson is a Dana White’s Contender Series alumn, having earned his contract via a beautiful flying knee KO in 2019. Woodson will be looking to prove that his last loss was a fluke when he steps back into the octagon.

It’s believed that the fight between Youssef Zalal and Sean Woodson will take place on the prelims and fans can expect fireworks when these two warriors do battle. With this Youssef Zalal and Sean Woodson fight added, the announced bouts for the June 5th card is as follows:

• Heavyweight: Walt Harris vs Marcin Tybura
• Heavyweight: Tanner Boser vs Ilir Latifi
• Women’s Flyweight: Maryna Moroz vs Manon Fiorot
• Featherweight: Youssef Zalal vs Sean Woodson
