The winner of Luan Santiago and Benoit St. Denis at BRAVE 49 will get a title shot against divisional king Eldar Eldarov, BRAVE Combat Federation has confirmed. The fight has been moved to the main event of BRAVE 49: Super Fights, after the withdrawal of Sean Santella from the scheduled main fight against Jose Torres.

Luan Santiago burst onto the scene a BRAVE CF in March of 2017, at BRAVE CF 3, in his adopted hometown of Curitiba, Brazil. Since then, he has amassed an impressive 5-2 records with the BRAVE, becoming a world lightweight champion in the process.

However, losing his belt to long-time rival Cleiton “Predator” Santiago took advantage of BRAVE CF’s opening of the Super Lightweight division, to find a home for himself the new weight-class. Santiago defeated Gadzhimusa Gaziev in his 165-pound debut, the Brazilian will now have the opportunity to land a title shot in another division.

But it will be no easy task for Luan Santiago as he first must dispatch Benoit St. Denis to get to Eldarov. “The God of War” St. Denis is a true definition of the word phenom. He has only been training in MMA for four years and has already amassed a 6-0-0, 1 NC record, including two outstanding victories for BRAVE Combat Federation.

With impressive display in his last outing, when he dismantled tough fan favourite Mario Saaed, en route to a second round knockout at BRAVE CF 38.
