Friday, on the 30th of April 2021, live from Orlando, Florida, sees the long-awaited return of CES MMA. We last saw a CES event back in October 2020 at CES 61 headlined by Nick Alley who gave John Gotti III his first professional loss.
CES 62 sees John Gotti III (5-1), looking to return to winning ways, against CES debutant Jared Chauvin (3-2). The 28-year-old welterweight will no doubt be looking to make a statement against Chauvin who traditionally fights at Lightweight.
John Gotti III vs Jared Chauvin Fight Breakdown
Past performances would suggest that Gotti III will have a huge advantage in the stand-up, with him finishing 4 of his 6 wins (66.67%) via first-round stoppages.
Gotti III is a relentless striker who is clearly confident in his own striking ability. He often uses his movement and his own lack of fear of getting hit to put himself in better positions.
It has been suggested in recent months that Gotti III maybe a win or two away from an appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series. As we all know, CES MMA is a very good stepping stone to the UFC, and with CES being shown live on UFC Fight Pass, one can only assume that eyes will be on Gotti III and his performance.
Chauvin will be looking to make his CES debut with a bang. Currently on a 2 fight losing streak in MMA, a win is a must to get his career back on track. The biggest issue here will be that with Chauvin’s boxing background, he will be looking to keep the fight on its feet, a very dangerous position for Chauvin to be in. The question is, will Chauvin’s boxing experience get him back in the win column, or will the relentless attack of Gotti III be too much for the debutant?
Make sure to tune in on Friday 04.30.2021 at 08:00 PM ET Live on UFC Fight Pass.
