A Fight Between Abdul Razak Alhassan and Jacob Malkoun Added to UFC Vegas 24

Abdul Razak Alhassan and Jacob Malkoun will fight at UFC Vegas 24 on April 17th in a middleweight bout. The bout was first reported on Marcel Dorff’s social media. The main event for the card is Robert Whittaker against Kelvin Gastelum, as Kelvin stepped in for the injured Paulo Costa. With no order to the card currently, Abdul Razak Alhassan and Jacob Malkoun will more than likely be on the prelims.

Middleweights Abdul Razak Alhassan and Jacob Malkoun Desperate for a Victory

Abdul “Judo Thunder Razak Alhassan (10-3, 4-3 UFC) has been defeated in his two previous fights. It was a disaster at UFC Vegas 14 when he was knocked out by a beautiful right jab from Khaos Williams after 30 seconds. His loss beforehand came to Mounir Lazzez.

It was a horrible 2020 for Alhassan losing his only two fights, with him being out of the game for almost two years. He joined the promotion in 2016, winning his first six fights outside the promotion. He knocked out Charlie Ward after 53 seconds on his debut but lost to Omari Akhmedov in his second fight on a split decision.

Jacob “Mamba” Malkoun (4-1, 0-1 UFC) will be teething to get his first win in the promotion against a veteran like Alhassan. The New Zealand international had four wins under his belt, with two knockouts before joining the UFC.

A match-up with Phil Hawes was looking like a great fight for both. Unfortunately not for Malkoun, he was knocked out inside 18 seconds. Hawes caught him with a right then a left which seen Malkoun fall down, in which Hawes pounced on him with the ground and pound, for the referee to stop the fight.

It’s a must-win for both, otherwise, they may not be fighting in the promotion much longer.
