Exciting Featherweights Korean Zombie and Dan Ige Set for June 19th

A matchup between Korean Zombie and Dan Ige is reportedly in the works to headline UFC Fight Night 190, which is being held on June 19th. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to release the news. The event has no allocated location as of yet, with ten bouts already announced on the card.

Korean Zombie and Dan Ige Go Head to Head Towards a Shot at the Title

Chan Sung “The Korean Zombie” Jung (16-6, 6-3 UFC) has been given a lifeline to get his title charge back on track if he’s victorious over Ige. The Korean Zombie lost his last bout against Brian Ortega in a dominating five-round display by the American at UFC Fight Island 6.

Zombie has an impressive record with six knockouts and eight submissions. All of his six UFC wins have come as a finish, four coming in the first round. He lost his only opportunity so far at winning the belt against Jose Aldo at UFC 163 in 2013. Since then, he’s finished the likes of Dennis Bermudez, Renato Moicano, and Frankie Edgar in the first round of their bouts.

Dan “50k” Ige (15-3, 7-2 UFC) bounced back after his defeat against Calvin Katter by knocking out Gavin Tucker with a stunning right jab only 22 seconds into the fight.

Ige lost his first fight in the promotion to Julio Arce on a unanimous decision, back at UFC 220 in 2018. After his loss, he turned a corner and went on a rampage. Before losing to Kattar, he was on a six-fight win-streak, putting in some exciting performances, beating the likes of Mirsad Bektić and Edson Barboza.

The knockout over Tucker shows that Ige needs to be fighting the best in this division, and he’s coming up against one of them in Zombie. This featherweight matchup between Korean Zombie and Dan Ige is a must-watch for all UFC fans.

With Korean Zombie and Dan Ige recently added to UFC Fight Night 190, let’s see what other fights are scheduled so far. However, keep in mind that as fights get added or fall off the card, the order of bouts may get shuffled. This is the current lineup so far:
