The 2021 NY Mets are having yet another one of their games postponed. After Sunday afternoon’s contest with the Marlins was suspended in the first inning, Monday night’s game with the Phillies was postponed due to more inclement weather. This also comes after the Mets had their first three games postponed because of the Covid outbreak within the Nationals’ organization. Tonight’s game will be made up as part of a straight single-admission doubleheader on Tuesday beginning at 4:10 PM EST.

2021 NY Mets: Two Straight Rainouts

The 2021 NY Mets are off to a rough 2-3 start this year, and these rainouts can’t be helping much. Through the first 12 days of the season, they have played in only five games. Sunday’s starter Marcus Stroman voiced his frustration on Twitter after his start was cut short after he threw just nine pitches.

Righties Chase Anderson and Taijuan Walker are set to square off in game 1. Aaron Nola and Marcus Stroman are slated to face off in the nightcap.
