Featherweights Joshua Culibao and Yilan Sha to Fight on May 22nd

145-Pound Prospects Joshua Culibao and Yilan Sha Have a Point to Prove

Joshua “Kuya” Culibao (8-1-1, 0-1-1 UFC) hasn’t had the best of starts in the UFC, after failing to win on two occasions. His first bout was at UFC Fight Night Auckland, where he was defeated in the second round to Jalin Turner via ground and pound. In a close battle at UFC Fight Island 4 against Charles Jourdain, Culibao lost the fight via a split decision, which left him still hunting for his first UFC win.

Before joining the UFC, Culibao fought in several promotions in his home country of Australia. He built up an undefeated record of eight wins, with five knockouts. This earned him a spot in the biggest MMA promotion in the world.

Yilan “Wolverine” Sha (19-6, 0-0 UFC) is another Chinese talent, who has been signed by the UFC after an impressive career so far. Like Culibao, Sha has fought several of his bouts in his home country of China.

Sha is an extremely versatile mixed martial artist, with nine knockouts and five submissions on his record. He was signed after winning seven of his last eight fights.

With Joshua Culibao and Yilan Sha signed up for May 22nd, the UFC have not released where this fight will be placed on the card. We will be having more announcements for the event on the way, whilst we also expect some dropouts. Here’s what we have lined up so far:

• Featherweight Bout: Joshua Culibao vs Yilan Sha
