The answer is yes, PJ Tucker will make a playoff impact but only if the Bucks use him efficiently.
The most efficient way to utilize Tucker would be to use him in and around the three-point line, as double MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will be drawing lots of players around him in the paint and around the rim, if you put Tucker in a corner and he is open, he is bound to hit some big shots. He could also be used as a decoy, as there are a lot of competent shooters around him in Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo, Jrue Holiday, and more.
Tucker has also recently been cleared to play under a minutes restriction, which is good news for the Bucks, after missing 10 games with a calf strain. He put up 3 rebounds, an assist and a steal in 10 minutes in the Bucks’ 25-point win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in his first game back.
PJ Tucker has no shortage of playoff experience, having played in four conference semi-final series and one western conference final. This is where PJ Tucker’s playoff impact will come into play.
The Bucks certainly look to be a threat in the playoffs this season; however only time will tell if PJ Tucker makes any sort of impact for the Bucks in the playoffs this season.
