In recent MLB news, Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher, Corbin Burnes just made his way onto the Injured List. Burnes will be put on the list due to an undisclosed injury. The Brewers pitcher has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season. Burnes has posted a 2-2 record with an ERA of 1.53. In addition, he has a WHIP of 0.55, and to add on he struck out a total of 49 batters while not walking a single one.

Latest MLB News: Brewers Big Loss

The Brewers will look to keep first place in the National League Central without Burnes’ spectacular pitching. Additional MLB News, right-handed pitcher Alec Bettinger and left-handed pitcher Eric Lauer from the Brewers Alternate Training Site to take over for Burnes, and right-handed pitcher Zack Godley, who is on the IL for a finger injury.

This is a very crucial piece of the latest MLB News that is not good to hear for the Brewers organization and fans. With the Brewers in a very tight race for first place in the National League Central. With every single team so close to the standings it is very important that the Brewers can keep playing as well as they have been and keep first place by the time Corbin Burnes comes back. It is also crucial that the Milwaukee pitching can handle Burnes’ workload, so they can continue to ride the momentum that they have until he returns.
