Seattle Mariner top prospect Jarred Kelenic seems to be on his way to the Major League Roster after a recent report from Jeff Passan.

Mariner fans are about to see one of the hottest prospects in all of the baseball make his debut in Seattle as it has been reported that Jarred Kelenic will be recalled to the Major League roster on Thursday.

First reported by Jeff Passan, the MLB Pipeline #4 prospect in baseball is expected to be called up for the weekend series against the Cleveland Indians. The Seattle Mariners have yet to confirm the report.

Kelenic, who was acquired in the blockbuster trade with the Mets in 2018 which sent RHP Edwin Diaz and 2B Robinson Cano to New York, has been one of the most hyped-up prospects in the Mariner organization and his arrival is something that fans have clambering for over the past year.

Jarred Kelenic Recalled: What to Expect

In Triple-A, Kelenic has only played a handful of games with the Rainers but has already made a huge impression blasting two home runs and batting .444 in 18 at-bats.

The Mariners have been struggling offensively this season. Currently, Seattle is tied for the worst batting average in baseball with the Cleveland Indians and a sub .660 OPS. Seattle has needed a spark in the lineup and they think that Kelenic might be that spark. Kelenic has a huge upside as a strong offensive force that can hit the ball all around the ballpark but also knock it out regularly.

When Kelenic comes up to the main roster, expect him to make a splash early on. In his first game in AAA, he smashed his two homers in his six at-bats making an immediate impression with the front office.

Jarred Kelenic recalled to the main roster brings a ton of energy to a Mariner team that started the season hot but has begun to fizzle out. While his arrival has been anticipated for a while now, it is finally time to see what one of the most exciting prospects the Mariners have ever seen, can truly do.
