Best Bets: Player Props for Sunday Night’s Slate

The playoffs are heating up, and with two exciting games late! The Knicks and Hawks face off at 7:00, and the Grizzlies and Jazz match-up at 9:30! With these two games, the player props on some of the stars have to be looked at for the best bets of the night.

Best Bets: Player Props for Hawks vs. Knicks

Julius Randle OVER 42.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

It is no secret that the Knicks offense goes with former Kentucky Wildcats Julius Randle. New York had a surprising season behind their star playing big minutes. Randle played a career-high 37.6 minutes a game, and it is safe to assume he will play more in the postseason.

Add in that in two of the Hawks-Knicks match-ups, Randle scored at least 40 points. One of the best bets of the night slate has to include Randle stepping up and reaching his points, rebounds, and assists total in the Knick’s first playoff games in a while.

Trae Young OVER 9.5 Assists

Young’s season average of assists was 9.4, so the line is right in favor of Trae, and in the meetings against the Knicks, he averaged 12 assists. It is clear that Young is the lead facilitator on the Hawks, averaging the most assists per game by almost six assists, so expect Atlanta to keep turning to Young as the primary playmaker. It is one of the best bets to wager on the Hawks leading facilitator to reach his assist total.

Best Bets: Player Props for Grizzlies vs. Jazz

Ja Morant OVER 21.5 Points

Morant may not have gotten over 20 points a couple of games in a row heading into the play-in games. But both in the Spurs and Warriors games, the second-year stand-out had 20 and 35 points. It certainly is a risk, but some books give the over-point total plus odds, and it is certainly worth the risk if your book gives Morant plus odds.

Rudy Gobert may be having one of the best defensive seasons in recent history, but Morant has scored at least 30 points in two of his last three games against the Jazz. Also, the Grizzlies’ second-leading scorer, Jonas Valanciunas, will be defended by Gobert, creating more scoring needed elsewhere. Morant’s point total is one of the best bets of the night.

Donovan Mitchell UNDER 27.5 Points

Coming off an injury, Mitchell amassing his point total tonight will be tough. The Jazz star guard averaged 26.4 points per game, but at less than 100%, his production should see a dip tonight.

The Grizzlies are not a good match-up for Mitchell either, utilizing the combination of Dillon Brooks and Kyle Anderson to slow him down. Both players did a solid job of slowing down Stephen Curry in the play-in game, keeping him under his point total. The duo should continue the stout defense heading into round one of the playoffs, making Mitchell’s under one of the best bets of the night.

Best Bets: Player Prop Card

  • Julius Randle OVER 42.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
  • Trae Young OVER 9.5 Assists
  • Ja Morant OVER 21.5 Points
  • Donavan Mitchell UNDER 27.5 Points

A heavy star player prop card for tonight’s best bets! A lot to watch for with these four names on the card. Whether it is Randle and Young’s first taste of the postseason or two young stars duking it out in Utah, tonight’s double-feature should have a lot in store.
