2021 Buffalo Bills Schedule Release: Analysis, Prediction and More of a Tough Road Ahead

As we continue the trend of prediction and examining every schedule in the NFL, it’s time to examine the schedule for the Buffalo Bills. Of course, Josh Allen and company made their way to the AFC Championship Game before losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

So, let’s examine the 2021 Buffalo Bills Schedule and see how many games they win this season.

2021 Buffalo Bills Schedule: First Half

Week One | 9/12/2021 | Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills

Right off the bat is a terrific AFC matchup- and potential playoff preview. The Pittsburgh Steelers are making one last-ditch effort with ageless Ben Roethlisberger and rookie phenom Najee Harris. The Steel City defense is dangerous, although the Bills come out ready and snag the opener at home- with fans!

Prediction: Bills win 34-24

Week Two | 9/19/2021 | Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins

A tough AFC East matchup. Usually, a Dolphins-Bills game would be labeled a snoozer. However, Tua Tagovailoa with Jaylen Waddle and the Bills’ core of Allen and Stefon Diggs set up a terrific matchup. The Dolphins were one game away from being a playoff team. However, Buffalo wins again.

Prediction: Bills win 31-20

Week Three | 9/26/2021 | Washington Football Team at Buffalo Bills

The return of Fitzmagic to Buffalo! He played there, right? To be fair, he’s played just about everywhere. Washington is on the rise. Antonio Gibson, Terry McLaurin, and new-addition Curtis Samuel have this offense as one of the best in the league. Chase Young is one of the toughest matchups, and Washingto is a gritty team who doesn’t quit. The Bulls suffer their first loss, albeit in a nail-biter.

Prediction: Washington Football Team wins 27-24 in overtime

Week Four | 10/3/2021 | Houston Texans at Buffalo Bills

This might be the toughest to predict. Will it be Deshaun Watson, a consensus top-5 quarterback taking snaps? Or will it be Tyrod Taylor? Could it be Davis Mills? The situation in Houston is a mess, and the Bills cruise easy regardless of who is at quarterback for the Texans.

Prediction: Bills win 42-24

Week Five | 10/10/2021 | Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs

AFC title game rematch this early in the season? Yes please! However, Arrowhead is a tough place to play and the Chiefs are on a mission after their Super Bowl performance. Mahomes is MVP of the league and Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are nearly unguardable.

Prediction: Chiefs win 45-27

Week Six | 10/18/2021 | Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans

Another road game for the Bills before they head into their bye week, and it’s a tough one. Derrick Henry is tough to stop, as is AJ Brown. The Titans defense is up and coming. However, the Bills find a way to get by, thanks in part to their defense containing Henry and forcing them to pass the ball. Oh, and it’s a primetime game on Monday night.

Prediction: Bills win 31-24

Week Seven | BYE

Week Eight | 10/31/2021 | Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills

This time the Dolphins watch a ton of film and beat the Bills. The AFC East could be one of the best overall divisions in the NFL if the New York Jets can be halfway decent. Tua and Waddle figure out their chemistry from their Alabama days and Josh Allen has a bad game.

Prediction: Dolphins win 24-13

Week Nine | 11/07/2021 | Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne might actually make some noise in their rookie season. Urban Meyer and new toy Tim Tebow (yes, that really happened) could easily finish the season with more than five wins. Unfortunately, this isn’t one of them. The Bills cruise in a rare offensive shootout.

Prediction: Bills win 42-31

Week Ten | 11/14/2021 | Buffalo Bills at New York Jets

Two easy games in a row? Ideally, that should be the case. The Bills are aiming for a Super Bowl this year more than ever. They cruise past the Jets as Zach Wilson struggles against the Bills defense.

Prediction: Bills win 31-10

2021 Buffalo Bills Schedule: Second Half

Week Eleven | 11/21/2021 | Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills

This is going to be a terrific matchup. Can Carson Wentz return to his MVP form? Will Jonathan Taylor be the running back everybody thinks he can be? Nonetheless, the Bills are one of the best teams in the NFL and come away with a win in another overtime thriller.

Prediction: Bills win 37-31 OT

Week Twelve | 11/25/2021 | Buffalo Bills at New Orleans Saints

Thanksgiving day welcomes the Bills to New Orleans. Unfortunately, it’s not a warm welcome. Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill, it doesn’t matter. Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas are machines. The Saints’ defense is suffocating and Allen struggles again in primetime.

Prediction: Saints win 27-20

Week Thirteen | 12/06/2021 | New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

All of a sudden the Bills are the prime of the AFC East. After decades of the Patriots being the team to beat, now it’s the Patriots’ turn to try and top the Bills. This time the Patriots come out on top as the Bills hit a mini-skid towards the end of the season.

Prediction: Patriots win 24-14

Week Fourteen | 12/12/2021 | Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yikes, another tough game for the Bills. Another loss is in store, although it’s not time to panic yet. Tom Brady and the Bucs should repeat as Super Bowl Champions. They have brought back their entire starting 22 from the past season and Ageless Tom is exactly that.

Prediction: Buccaneers win 45-31

Week Fifteen | 12/18/2021 | Carolina Panthers at Buffalo Bills

The Bills get back on track against Sean McDermott‘s old employed. Christian McCaffrey runs wild and Sam Darnold returns to the player everybody thought he would be. Both teams toss up an absurd amount of points in one of the most entertaining games of the season.

Prediction: Bills win 52-42

Week Sixteen | 12/26/2021 | Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots

The Bills roll into New England and exact revenge on the Patriots after New England won in Buffalo a few weeks prior. The Bills hit their stride just in time for the playoffs.

Prediction: Bills win 38-24

Week Seventeen | 1/2/2022 | Atlanta Falcons at Buffalo Bills

The Falcons are the biggest question mark of the year. Will Matt Ryan return to his MVP form? Is Kyle Pitts really a top-5 pick? Will Julio Jones be on the roster? Is Arthur Smith the right guy for Atlanta? With all that said, the Bills are better, plain and simple.

Prediction: Bills win 33- 24

Week Eighteen (that sounds WEIRD) | 1/9/2022 | New York Jets at Buffalo Bills

The Bills rest all their starters. They are 10-6 at this point, mainly due to their brutal schedule. They have locked up a playoff spot and somehow still walk away with the victory (Sorry, Jets fans.)

Prediction: Bills win 26-21

The Bills win the AFC East in a wild race that could very well include three playoff teams. They make their way back to the AFC Championship game before getting ousted.
