Lucas Martins is one of Brazil’s finest athletes, he has held a world championship within the BRAVE promotion and after suffering back-to-back losses he has a chance to shut down a rising prospect. Martins is a seasoned veteran in mixed martial arts and has multiple bouts across the world’s biggest promotions, including the UFC. BRAVE CF 51 gives the Brazilian an opportunity of a lifetime where he can not only defeat one of Europes biggest young talents but earn another shot at gold.

Martins has many keys to victory but Grabinski might just have the upper hand on the feet. The ground game is something that must be utilised in this bout, both men have submission victories but Martins is definitely a more decorated fighter in this aspect of MMA. Grabinski must not expose his neck in any way or there could be a choke in store for the German star.

Marcel Grabinski heads into BRAVE CF 51 riding a two-fight win streak. The 29-year-old has been on a tear in recent years with 11 KO/TKO’s, four submissions, and six decisions. One of Europes hottest prospects, Grabinski has such a unique way of fighting, his sudden stance switches always throw his opponents off guard and he can throw almost any strike from any angle. Martins has a lot to look out for but let’s jump a bit deeper into what will happen if this fight hits the canvas.

Both men have the ability to grab submissions but with such a striking advantage, Grabinski shouldn’t even consider taking his opponent down as he can get caught in anything from a Guillotine to a D’arce choke. The takedown defence of both fighters holds up quite well so we could see a striking chess match if this plays a part in the bout.

Martins vs Grabinski Fight Breakdown

BRAVE CF 51 hosts two cardio machines in their main event, the super welterweight bout will definitely be one to watch. Martins has amazing lateral movement that can put him in danger as much as it can get him to safety, his overhands and straights have posed problems for his opponents in the past but it could be a whole different story with Grabinski.

Grabinski is very unorthodox, he can slip an uppercut and follow throw with a roundhouse to the head so every shot must be calculated to avoid a counter. The German prospect will look to punish the body early to eliminate the cardio of Martins. The clinch is an interesting aspect of this bout but will be something we likely won’t see much of.

Grabinski will enter the pocket off of switching stances and Martins will look to get his jab off. Avoiding the entries gives the Brazilian a chance to preserve his gas tank and work the takedowns in later rounds. This fight is going to be fireworks and both men have one-shot knock-out power!
